When did you start this website?
This website began development in May 2008, after I quit a job that I'd just moved here for. It didn't go live until July 2008.
Why did you create this website?
During my job search, I had some time on my hands. Oh and my partner and I realized that a site like this would have been very helpful to us when we moved here (only 3 months earlier).
Who hosts this website?
Page-Zone is my host. I don't love em, I don't hate em. They just happened to be who I went with years ago, and I have been too lazy to change to another.
Who designed and maintains the website?
I designed and maintain it. No, I'm not a web designer, as you can tell by the basic layout and non-existent features. But I'm a simple girl and appreciate simplicity in info-sharing.
Who pays for the site?
We do, and sometimes, You do. By visiting my affiliate links, ads, etc, you help maintain this resource. It takes a LOT of traffic to generate revenue, so please share this site with your friends, family and anyone else you know who might benefit from it. Oh and if you wanna throw a few bucks our way, we would not object.
Do you offer website design and maintenance for my small business?
Yes, we would be happy to create a basic informational site, so your customers can easily find you online. Contact us for a quote.
Why aren't there any zoos or living history museums listed on the site?
Zoos and living history museums go against what I believe in - breeding and/or keeping wild, farm and marine animals in captivity is irresponsible and cruel. I'm sure there are lovely aspects of these places and offer certain learning experiences, but exploiting animals for our benefit as humans is unnecessary.
