Tonight was a splurge. We had dinner at one of Steph's absolute favorites, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro in downtown Virginia beach.

Thankfully I had made reservations at PF Chang's, because not only was it busy as usual, but tonight was a prom or homecoming for the local high school and the restaurant was swarming with foofoo dresses and multi-colored tuxes. We still had to wait a bit, so we ordered a drink and an appetizer at the bar, until they called our name. For dinner, I tried a different dish than my normal appetizers only, but ended up sending it back. It was supposed to be a mixed veggie plate, but it ended being 75% broccoli, which doesn't ever sit well with my stomach. I chose another order of my favorite, steamed veggie potstickers and egg rolls. Those are always good!

After dinner, we got dessert next door at Cold Stone Creamery and enjoyed it outside, sitting at the covered tables near the fountain in Towne Center, while listening to the very impressive sounds (singing, guitar and keyboard) of Kayce McGehee.
