We went with a large group of new friends to see a Norfolk Tides game ($22/ticket) tonight. We spared the gas and parking issues by taking the Elizabeth River Ferry ($1 each way) over to the Harbor Park Stadium. The game was fun and we enjoyed the bonus of getting to play Baseball Bingo, which actually helped several of us baseball newbies learn about the various aspects of the game. We all ate somethin' crazy throughout the 9 innings, which spread over 3 hours. I got a veggie burger, which I was incredibly disappointed in, as it seemed made mostly of rice and other grains - though I was impressed that it did seem actually grilled. I also got fries, which were excellent and a regular Coke ($10.50). Then Steph got a corn dog and a fries and a large souvenir Coke ($9.25). Later Steph got a soft serve twist ice cream in a waffle cone ($4.00). After the game, we hurried back to the Ferry, since the last ferry leaves 15 minutes after the game ends.

PS The Tides won, but I can't remember the score - pretty sad, huh?
